Recently discussion on drift-net fishing for salmon in the Russian waters that is carried out by Japanese according to intergovernmental Agreement between Russia and Japan, but also by Russian fishing ships upon so called research programmes is renewed in press and media.
The Head of Federal Fisheries Agency Alexei Krainy announced the need to put restrictions on foreign fleet fishing in the exclusive economic zone of Russian Federation.
