Overall goal of the project:

Provide models for replication and initial foundation for full-scale integrated transboundary Econet implementation in the Region of Central Asia.

Expected result:

By 2011-2012, the 5 countries participating in the transboundary Central Asia Econet (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan) have started the implementation of a transboundary protected area network within their national boundaries and have started to improve the effective management of these areas.
