Just before the World Wetlands Day Ili River Delta and South Lake Bakhash in Kazakhstan were included in the Wetland of International Importance list.

WWF-Russia continue the battle against the Russian Far East driftnet fishing industry. These “walls of death” kill an average of 150,000 seabirds a year, along with countless non-target fish species and marine mammals.

The first stage of tiger monitoring has been completed in Primorye. It was conducted by Wildlife and Hunting Department of Primorsky Province together with Far Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Science and WWF support
