Workshop
on conservation forest planning in preparation for independent
forest certification for specialists from forest companies
(“Russkiy Les”, “Kingisepsky Forest
Enterprise”, Tikhvin Forest Enterprise, and Terminal)

Pskov Model Forest experience is going to be
disseminated in 4 target companies operating in Northwest
Russia.
According to the Project’s work plan,
since 2006 the Pskov Model Forest has commenced collaboration
with its target companies in order to replicate its outcomes
in new operational settings.
Project specialists are planning to identify
various region-specific models of disseminating project experience
in the following target companies: “Russkiy Les”
(Leningrad Oblast), “Swedwood-Tikhvin” (Leningrad
Oblast), Kingisepsky Forest Enterprise (Leningrad Oblast),
and STF-Gdov (Pskov Oblast).
Other forest companies operating in Northwest
Russia also have the opportunity to join workshops in application
of the sustainable forest management model.
