In
Lisino Forestry College area

Upon launching the Russian-Swedish Forest Sector
Cooperation Program in April 2005, the Pskov model is disseminated
on the territory of Lisino Forestry College in Leningrad Oblast
(Block II). The primary objective is to establish a system
of training in principles and techniques of more intensive
and sustainable forest management in educational institutions
specialized in forestry by the example of Lisino Forestry
College.
The program envisages establishing of a model
forest area in Tosnensky forest district in Leningrad Oblast
that would incorporate a network of demonstration plots and
a nature trail. The following activities will be carried out:
 develop
forest norms for Lisino model forest area and produce a landscape
ecological plan;
develop
GIS for the model forest area;
prepare
training and information materials in intensive and sustainable
forest management for students of Lisino Forestry College;
conduct
training activities in sustainable forest management for different
target groups.
