PSKOV
MEETING OF MONTREAL PROCESS WORKING GROUP
Extensive studies undertaken by experts of the Pskov Model Forest
Project resulted in the development of a model for assessing
the quality of standing timber under any randomly selected assortment
plan. The new model makes it possible to plan and evaluate efficiency
of logging operations at the level of a forest compartment.

MODEL FOREST ASSESSED THE VALUE OF STANDING TIMBER

LES CONDUCTS OPERATIONAL TESTING OF THINNING SCHEDULES
On March 14-16, a group of Pskov Model Forest experts visited
the forest lease area of Russkiy Les, one of the project’s
target companies in Leningrad Oblast, for the purpose of monitoring
thinning operations that are carried out in accordance with
methodology promoted by the project. more
