PSKOV MEETING OF MONTREAL PROCESS WORKING GROUP
Extensive studies undertaken by experts of the Pskov Model Forest Project resulted in the development of a model for assessing the quality of standing timber under any randomly selected assortment plan. The new model makes it possible to plan and evaluate efficiency of logging operations at the level of a forest compartment.

PSKOV MODEL FOREST ASSESSED THE VALUE OF STANDING TIMBER
Extensive studies undertaken by experts of the Pskov Model Forest Project resulted in the development of a model for assessing the quality of standing timber under any randomly selected assortment plan. WORKING GROUP FOR DISSEMINATING PMF EXPERIENCE IS ESTABLISHED UNDER PSKOV OBLAST ADMINISTRATION
On 20 July 2007, a kickoff meeting of an expert group for disseminating the experience of the WWF Pskov Model Forest Project and developing new regional forest regulations to promote more intensive and sustainable forest management took place in the Committee for Licensing and Nature Use under the Pskov Oblast Administration.

RUSSKIY LES CONDUCTS OPERATIONAL TESTING OF THINNING SCHEDULES
On March 14-16, a group of Pskov Model Forest experts visited the forest lease area of Russkiy Les, one of the project’s target companies in Leningrad Oblast, for the purpose of monitoring thinning operations that are carried out in accordance with methodology promoted by the project.
