The Caucasus mountain forests are characterized by the highest level of biodiversity in Europe and Russia. This is a homeland of Persian leopard, Caucasian red deer (red deer), bison, Roe deer, Wild boar, Bezoar goat, Brown bear, etc. The Caucasus mountain forests have a beneficial impact on the water regime and prevention surface erosion. At the time active logging and the tourism industry threaten the forest ecosystems. Our poster talks about the consequences of deforestation.
